Academy Award-Winning Actor Louis Gossett, Jr. Meets with Former Deputy Coroner in Marilyn Monroe Case

Legendary actor Louis Gossett, Jr. with former Deputy Coroner
Academy Award winning actor Louis Gossett, Jr. met with the authors of the highly acclaimed new book, "Memoirs of a Deputy Coroner: The Case of Marilyn Monroe", at his home in Malibu, CA this week. Accoring to insiders, the actor is being sought to portray former Deputy Coroner, Lionel Grandison, in an upcoming movie.

Gossett, who currently hosts is own talk show, "For What It's Worth", has remained active. Now 76 years old, he has recently released a new book himself titled, "An Actor and A Gentlemen".

The book is an amazing journey through Gossett's legendary career, which began as a teenager in the early 1950's. The award-winning actor also donates much of his time to "Eracism", a non-profit organization dedicated to eliminating racism accross the globe.

During their visit to "Gossett Estate" in Malibu, co-authors Samir Muqaddin (formally Lionel Grandison) and Lionel Grandison Jr, were also interviewed by Louis Gossett, Jr.

Their new book has continued to show strong sales in the U.S. and has exceeded all expectations internationally. Multiple studios have shown interest in the movie project and most sources are saying a movie deal is eminent.

The story evolves around the incredible experiences of Los Angeles County Deputy Coroner Lionel Grandison, who in 1962 conducted the official investigation of Marilyn's case and signed her death certificate. While investgating, Grandison was confronted with a cover-up of epic proportions, which was compounded by his discovery of Marilyn's secret diary.

"Mr. Gossett thinks the story is amazing," stated his assistant Doris Garrett. "He was aquainted with Mrs. Monroe before her death and is fascinated by a young African-American man being involved with her case."

The book, "Memoirs of a Deputy Coroner: The Case of Marilyn Monroe" is available on paperback and e-book.
