Muslim News Magazine is a news media organization serving the American Islamic community. Launched in 1991 by BAIT-CAL, this news agency has catalogued countless hours of historic footage recorded in cities throughout America.

In it’s debut telecast, MNM presented a national satellite broadcast from the University of Southern California. The program, entitled ”Islam in America: It’s Growth and Impact was hosted by pioneering Muslim journalist and producer Sabir El-Amin. It featured a national address by Imam W. Deen Mohammed, who also joined a panel of guest answering questions from more than 50 colleges and universities across the country.

For the past 20 years Muslim News Magazine has produced more than 200 television shows, which have aired nationally. The company has also produced award-winning documentaries including the critically acclaimed film, “8 Centuries of Muslims in America.”  Other credits include, “Muhammad Ali: The Untold Story,”  “The Legacy of Imam W. Deen Mohammed” and “City of Muslims.”

As Muslim News Magazine prepares to enter its third decade of documenting the Islamic experience in America, the challenge has never been greater. “Our goal is to present the true identity of Muslims in America,” stated Lance Grandison, V.P. of Program Development. “The next decade will be critical for defining Muslims and the religion of Islam. The media will play a very large role and so will Muslim News Magazine.
